Crime Scene Investigation Mobile Unit 

Government of Punjab and Punjab Police that complements other support initiatives related to crime scene investigation, management and Police-prosecution cooperation with a particular focus on Mandi Bahauddin as a model District. Now operational, the Mobile Crime Scene Unit will be on call to support criminal investigation activities throughout the District Mandi Bahauddin 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. The new unit possesses state of the art kits that cover a multitude of functions, including blood collection, finger printing, impressions, lifting pattern prints, trace evidence collection and analyzing bullet trajectories. In addition, the unit will be utilized to respond to crimes committed in the vicinity of every Police station in Mandi Bahauddin District. The unit will professionally enable the CSI teams in photography, evidence collection, fingerprint processing, Criminal Sketching, and evidence analysis at the District level thereby enhancing expert testimony in criminal court proceedings.

 

CCTV Cameras

 

 

There are established CCTV Camera in various locations and Entry/Exit points in District Mandi Bahauddin for command and cotrol. A control room established in DPO Office Mandi Bahauddin for supervision and survieillance of these cameras. These Camera managed and recorded locally, but can be viewed instantly by Police control room.

 

Nadra Verisys

 

National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) verisys system is available  in DPO Office Mandi Bahauddin to verify the issued CNIC. This service is available for investigation.

 

 

 

Global Positioning System (GPS)

Police Department of District Mandi Bahauddin has initiative to introduce GPS tracking and digital monitoring for the fleet of  vehicles (patrol vehicles of Police stations & Police posts. Live speed, track of movement, stops & restarts along with live positions and mileage of the vehicles will be monitored through GPS trackers. GPS monitors will controls the following activities:
If any mobile van will remains static for more than 30 minutes at any point, it will be intimated to change the position and follow the proper patrolling SOPs.
If any mobile van will go out of order the patrolling officer will promptly inform GPS control. To handle such situation patrolling team establishes a picket for random checking of vehicles and will report back to GPS control about their performance.
If any mobile van will be engaged for a secret mission, concerned Station House Officer (SHO) will inform the GPS control before departure.

Criminal Record Management System (CRMIS)

In order to put effectiveness in the work of Police organization, Mandi Bahauddin Police is moving towards the digital world to control crimes and criminals by incorporating systems like Criminal Record Management Information System (CRMIS). The system would manage the criminal record of the Police with greater ease and flexibility. The system is designed to efficiently cover all the requirements and functionalities expected in order to document the criminal records. The adoption of this system would be quite valuable to the Police. This criminal record system shall be available online to give official access to other Districts, thus further facilitating them to fight against crimes.

 

Police Station Record Management System (PSRMS)

PSRMS is an initiative of the Punjab Police in an effort to improve the efficiency of the department by making the records readily available to Police officers. The system has not only proven to be successful in accelerating the investigation process, but also streamlined the overall FIR system. This web-based online application has digitized the complete FIR life-cycle from launching an FIR, nominating a culprit, investigation and court proceeding details, to the final process of case closure.  It covers and up-date automatically all corresponding registers of FIR.

The FIR system has not only enhanced the security, but also synchronized the activities of police stations in districts; successfully achieving the cost and time effectiveness. Furthermore, it also enabled any supervisory officer to efficiently monitor the progress of cases.

The system is currently operating in 454 police stations across Punjab, and in 2016 alone, it has launched around 100,349 FIRs to date. PSRMS has definitely contributed a lot toward bringing efficiency and effectiveness of the police force, as it has enabled a smooth execution of all the processes right from the registration of first information of the case till it’s closure

Police Complaints Center (8787)

A new initiative of Punjab Police is the establishment of Police Complaint Center. The idea is to use the benefits of information technology in reach out to the people and address their issues related to the performance of police.
Previously the complaints were received through post or a person had to travel to Lahore to submit his complaint in person at the Inspector General of Police office. The new intervention aims at receiving complaints through SMS and voice calls on a short code (8787).  Moreover, complaints are also received online as well as through emails. A dedicated team of young IT professionals has been deputed to handle these complaints. A state of the art system has been designed to redress the grievances of the public in an expeditious manner. The system is highly interactive and the complainant is kept in the loop till the disposal of the complaint. The complainant can view the progress of his complaint online and can send his feedback at any moment, online or through SMS.
To ensure better service delivery, a system of three way conference has also been made a part of the Police Complaints Center in which the complainant, the concerned police officer (RPO/DPO/SDPO) and the IGP (or any of his representative at Central Police Office) can review the progress of the complaint. This would not only result in timely redressal of the complaints but would also ensure satisfaction of the complainant and rebuild public's confidence and trust over police.

Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS)

The Punjab Police Human Resource Management System is a complete and secure HR Database with advanced reporting capabilities combination of systems and processes that connect human resource management and information technology. You can generate reports with ease using a variety of filters and selection criteria. The HR function consists of tracking existing employee data which traditionally includes personal histories, skills, capabilities, accomplishments and salary. To reduce the manual workload of these administrative activities, Punjab Police began to electronically automate many of these processes by introducing specialized human resource management systems. HR executives rely on internal or external IT professionals to develop and maintain an integrated HRMS which may help to revolutionize a workplace, capture & review attendance and timesheet data to increase efficiency and productivity. You can also connect your biometric devices via an API with this flexible attendance management module. HR management systems enabled higher administrative control over the traditional manual system. Currently human resource management systems encompass the following
